Glacial Lakes State Park is situated on unspoiled native prairie, just a tiny fraction of what was originally spread throughout the area. The centerpiece of the park is 56-acre Signalness Lake: The lake's entire pristine watershed is centered right within the park grounds.
During the April-October season, camping and fishing are both available at Glacial Lakes. A convenient fishing pier near the beautiful beach gives anglers the ideal place to try their luck with local large-mouth bath, sunfish, northern pike, walleye, and even yellow perch.
With a rating of 4.5 on TripAdvisor, this is one of the best-loved parks in all of Minnesota – and, even in the off-season, the hiking trails are open. Many of the region's lakes also welcome guests year-round. Late in the year, some feature skiing, other winter sports, and kid-approved holiday festivities.
